HANS BLAZER
HANS BLAZER began as an idea in 2014, when longtime friends Jason Izon (vocals, keys) and Elliot Tolz (guitars, saxophone, keys, backing vocals) started writing music together. After completing their first song, “Haven’t Been,” the two immediately recognized the spark of something special. Soon after, they were introduced to Chris Lemmo (lead guitar), forming the creative core of the band—a songwriting partnership that continues to define the Hans Blazer sound today.
In 2021, the band released their first official single, “Oreo,” accompanied by a music video that remains a fan favorite on YouTube. Over the following years, the trio continued to write and record, collaborating with various bassists and drummers while searching for the right lineup. That search ultimately led to Chris Perna (drums) and Joe Schneider (bass, guitars), whose arrival solidified the band and propelled Hans Blazer onto stages throughout the New York metro area.
With members based across Westchester, Rockland, and Bergen Counties, Hans Blazer has built a growing fan base stretching from Connecticut through northern New Jersey and into Pennsylvania. The band is actively booking shows for 2026, bringing their high-energy performances and original music to venues across the region!
Hans Blazer is a New York/New Jersey–based rock band that fuses the raw energy of 1990s and early 2000s alternative rock with a sleek, modern blend of electronic, pop, and punk—seasoned with touches of classic rock and blues. The result is a sound that feels both nostalgically familiar and undeniably current.
The band released their latest single, “Rescue Me,” in Fall 2025 across all major streaming platforms and social media, where it quickly gained momentum—racking up a thousand plays in its first week alone and earning strong early fan response.
Driven by catchy melodies, dynamic guitar work, tight grooves, and poetic lyrics, Hans Blazer delivers a wall of sound that honors its influences while carving out a fresh, modern identity—seemingly tailor-made for this new era of music.
